Gates and loading docks are areas where the risk of an accident occurring is extremely high. This is due to the fact that when leaving the trailer, the forklift operator has a limited field of vision, making it impossible to see a pedestrian intruding into the loading area. In addition, with the dock doors open, there is a risk of the forklift falling out.

The installation of barriers along the docks prevents pedestrians from moving directly at the ramps, while the forklift operator has an extended exit from the trailer, which improves his visibility and minimizes the risk of running into a pedestrian.
At one of our clients, some loading docks had to be closed for costly repairs of defects that occurred during the reloading of goods. This resulted in work slowdowns, delivery delays and financial losses. Moreover, there were several dangerous situations in this area when a forklift operator accidentally almost hit a pedestrian employee. To ensure safe working conditions and minimize losses, our client decided to install a double lifting dock barrier. This zone was additionally fenced with protective poles. Since then, the number and scale of damage have been reduced to a minimum, and employees are provided with safe conditions. Barriers have been installed along the dock on both sides to prevent pedestrians from crossing directly next to the gates. The forklift operator can also pass safely without worrying about potential pedestrian intrusion.
