A client from the automotive industry wanted to maximize warehouse space, so goods in pallet cages (gitterboxes) were stacked, sometimes close to the walls and near pedestrian walkways. This created a risk that, while retrieving stacked goods, a forklift operator could tip over or drop the load onto an unprotected pedestrian path.
The client had two options: either move the goods at least 5 meters away—significantly reducing available storage space—or implement flexible barriers.
