In one of our industrial safety projects, carried out for a newly built cold storage facility, we faced the challenge of protecting key infrastructure elements exposed to potential damage. Intensive traffic of forklifts and manual transport carts required solutions that would not only protect critical areas of the facility, but also be resistant to extreme conditions – temperatures reaching as low as -40°C.
The scope of the project included protecting elements such as entrance gates, loading docks, sanitary equipment, and walls in production and warehouse areas. In addition, the solutions had to meet the high sanitary requirements applicable in the food industry.
The process began with a detailed site audit, which allowed us to identify the areas most exposed to damage. Cooperation with the client was crucial at every stage – from needs analysis to the implementation of appropriate products. Our task was not only to deliver effective protection, but also to design a solution that would be durable, aesthetic, and functional in everyday use.
To protect the infrastructure, we used flexible PA protective bollards, Pedestrian R2 GB barriers, and GB floor barriers. The PA protective bollards were installed at entrance gates, loading docks, and doors used by vehicles and manual transport carts. They were also placed near sanitary equipment such as sinks, protecting them against accidental impacts.
Along the walls exposed to contact with forklift forks, we installed flexible Pedestrian R2 GB protective barriers as well as GB floor barriers. These solutions provide effective protection for the lower sections of walls against mechanical damage.
An important aspect of the implementation was the use of a dedicated product line designed for operation in extremely low temperatures. Even in cold storage environments, these solutions retain their flexibility and durability, meaning they can withstand impacts without cracking or breaking apart. The applied products are made of high-quality polymer materials, which are also resistant to corrosion and other mechanical damage.
The implemented solutions delivered a number of benefits. We ensured effective infrastructure protection, allowing the client to avoid costs related to potential repairs of gates, docks, or sanitary equipment. Thanks to the proper placement of protective elements, the entire installation functions as a coherent safety system that minimizes the risk of damage during daily operations.
The materials used by Anter System in protective barriers and bollards are easy to keep clean, which is essential in the food industry. They meet strict HACCP and FDA requirements, confirming their safety for contact with food. In addition, we used internal mounting solutions during installation, dedicated to areas requiring the highest hygiene standards.
The key advantage of the implemented solution is its resistance to low temperatures. Flexible Anter System barriers from the line dedicated to very low-temperature environments retain full functionality at temperatures of up to -40°C, making them an ideal choice for cold stores and freezer facilities.
The cold storage project is another example of the effective application of Anter System protective barrier systems in specialist conditions. The combination of flexibility, durability, and aesthetics ensured that the implemented barriers and protective bollards fully met the client’s expectations. Thanks to careful planning, proper product selection, and professional execution, the facility was comprehensively protected, resulting in increased safety and reduced potential repair costs.
