Ensuring the safety of people and machinery in a high-traffic warehouse environment requires a comprehensive approach. The facility in question – a workspace for both employees and forklift operators – also contained equipment belonging to automated logistics systems. The top priority was to separate pedestrian routes from machine zones while also protecting key elements of the building infrastructure, such as columns and loading docks, from potential forklift impacts.
The project began with a detailed analysis of the client’s needs and the dynamic nature of the warehouse operations. By mapping movement patterns within the facility, we were able to design and implement safety solutions that combined effective protection with functionality – ensuring smooth workflow and maximum safety.
To effectively separate pedestrians from forklifts, we installed lines of Pedestrian R2 LT barriers equipped with a reinforced lower beam. This additional protection prevents damage caused by low-lying forklift forks. In areas with increased collision risk, protection was enhanced with DB HD+ barriers, designed for heavy-duty applications.
To safeguard structural columns, RAL4 flexible column protectors were used, capable of absorbing and dispersing impact energy to minimize damage to the pillars. Loading dock gates were protected with PA protective bollards, effectively preventing collisions in areas where forklifts maneuver in limited space. As a complement to the system, Corner Bumpers were installed to protect wall edges in high-risk zones.
The installation of Anter System’s flexible safety barriers brought a range of benefits. The polymer materials used feature exceptional impact absorption, significantly reducing the risk of costly repairs to both equipment and infrastructure after collisions. The modular construction of the system allows for easy assembly, disassembly, and adaptation to evolving operational needs. As a result, the implemented solutions increased safety for both people and machines while minimizing downtime and operational interruptions.
With Anter System’s solutions, the warehouse achieved a significant improvement in workplace safety and spatial organization within an environment shared by pedestrians, vehicles, and automated logistics systems. The modern design and robust construction of our flexible protective barriers not only ensure effective protection but also contribute to the optimization of workflows in today’s fast-evolving industrial settings.
