A leader in the food industry was faced with ensuring adequate safety of employees and wall structures in its plant. After several incidents, it was decided to introduce more effective security measures. The use of flexible protective barriers of our brand – Anter System – turned out to be a key solution.
This manufacturing plant had many areas with heavy traffic of both people and carts. Accidental collisions between forklifts and equipment, as well as dangerous incidents involving employees, increased management's vigilance. Traditional metal barriers turned out to be insufficient, unsuitable for high spaces, even dangerous in such spaces and expensive to repair after each collision.
The company has been operating in the manufacturing industry for over 9 years, employing a large number of employees. The plant operates in three shifts, which further increases the risk of accidents.
After analyzing the market, it was decided to implement flexible protective barriers that could better absorb impacts and minimize damage to equipment and the risk of injury to employees. Anter System, which specializes in such solutions, was selected to carry out the implementation.
Security Audit: Our team conducted a detailed plant audit, identifying critical areas requiring protection.
Solution design: Based on the audit results, individual solutions were designed, taking into account the specificity of the plant and its logistics processes.
Installation of barriers: High Gate Protector barriers were installed to protect gates, landings, low passages and low-slung infrastructure. Additionally, Gate Protectors have built-in warning systems in the form of a light signal. They were also installed in designated places, such as intersections of transport roads with pedestrian traffic, and around public utility zones SGR security gates and SGA with warning signs. Gates in critical places have automatic systems supporting their operation. This means that they lock automatically when the stroller is close to the barrier sensors. When the zone becomes safe, they automatically unlock. At the entrances to social rooms, where there was little space for traditionally opened gates, Slide Gates were installed, hiding in their structure. Pedestrian barriers were installed along the pedestrian lines, with additional, low reinforcement to protect against low-lowered forklift forks. The walls were protected with a low GB HD+ barrier with a reinforced structure. And where there was a high risk of abrasion, but not much space for installing barriers, ERTAX crash plates were attached to the walls. They protect surfaces against impacts from transport trucks, forklifts, and pallets.
After implementing flexible safety barriers, the number of incidents and the risk of collisions decreased significantly. The work system received a solid reinforcement thanks to reliable solutions, which influenced the comfort and efficiency of work. The number of damages to equipment and walls decreased, which allowed the company to save on repairs. Employees felt increased attention around their workplaces and greater concern for their safety. All Anter System products used remained compatible with the sanitary requirements of the plant, maintaining high standards of food production.
